The follicles need continued support over time, particularly if the cause of the hair loss is hormonal or hereditary, and with a maintenance treatment at regular intervals you preserve and build on the result of the course instead of letting it fade.
The treatment follows the same approach as the core treatment, growth factors combined with microneedling, and takes 50 minutes. At your final session in the core course we recommend an interval for REVISIT based on how your hair has responded to the treatment.

Why hair thins
Hair loss rarely has a single cause, and the right treatment depends on what the cause is. These are the most common ones.
Hereditary and hormonal
Androgenetic alopecia, what is usually called hereditary hair loss, affects both women and men. The follicles are sensitive to hormones and shrink gradually, so each new hair cycle produces a finer strand than the last. It usually shows first at the parting or the temples. Hormonal shifts around pregnancy and the menopause can trigger the same thing, sometimes temporarily.
Nutritional deficiency

Preparation
Before your treatment
A few simple preparations give your hair treatment the best possible conditions.
- Come with clean, dry hair, wash it the same morning if you like but use no styling products, oils or dry shampoo
- Avoid colouring your hair in the week before the treatment
- Avoid blood-thinning medication and alcohol for 24 hours before the treatment if possible, it reduces the risk of small bleeds during the microneedling
- Tell us when booking if you have skin conditions on the scalp, ongoing infections or use medication for hair loss
- After the treatment: let the scalp rest, wait at least 8 hours before washing your hair, ideally until the next day
- Avoid sun, sauna, swimming and sweaty exercise for the first 24 hours after each session
- Keep to the treatment rhythm, one session a week for 5 weeks; the continuity is an important part of the result
The scalp can be slightly pink and sensitive after the treatment, which is normal and settles within a day.

Frequently asked questions about hair loss treatment
When will I see results from the treatment?
The hair’s growth cycle is slow, so be patient. Many people first notice that the hair loss decreases and that the scalp feels better, while new, thicker growth usually becomes visible two to three months after starting the course, with continued improvement for up to six months. The full result of the course is therefore best judged a few months after the last session.
Does microneedling in the scalp hurt?
Most people find the treatment entirely manageable, a light prickling or scraping rather than pain. The scalp is more resilient than many think, and the needles work superficially. Afterwards the scalp can feel a little warm and tender, rather like after a sunny day without a cap, and it settles quickly.
Does the treatment work for hereditary hair loss?
