Hydrafacial is really not one treatment but six, carried out in sequence during the same session. That is why it feels different from an ordinary facial. Instead of choosing a single track, the skin gets cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, nourishment, hydration and protection in one sweep.
The foundation is called hydrodermabrasion. A handpiece passes a fine jet of water over the skin while a light vacuum draws. The outermost layer of dead cells comes away and the pores are emptied in the same movement. The difference from classic microdermabrasion is that the skin is never abraded dry, it is worked moist the whole way. That is why the treatment also works on skin that usually reacts to exfoliation.
Step one, cleansing and peeling

Step two, extractions and nourishment

Preparation
Before your treatment
Hydrafacial needs minimal preparation, but a few things give the best possible result.
- Come without makeup if you can, otherwise we start with makeup removal
- Pause strong skincare such as retinol, AHA/BHA acids and exfoliating products 2 to 3 days before the treatment
- Avoid sun and sunbeds for 72 hours before and after the treatment
- Tell us when booking if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have recently had injectable treatments or a chemical peel, and we will adapt the approach
After the treatment: avoid strong skincare for around 48 hours, skip makeup for the rest of the day if you can, and use sun protection over the following days. You can go straight back to work and everyday life; light pinkness can occur but disappears within a few hours.
