How Microtox works
Microtox is a skin treatment that works above all on the pores and the glow. A stamp with 20 small, fine needles at a fixed depth of only 0.5 millimetres is passed over the face, and the serum, with a botox-like action, hyaluronic acid and vitamins, is worked down into the pores, which then contract. Because the depth is so superficial, everything stays in the top layer of the skin; nothing reaches the muscle.
That is precisely what separates Microtox from classic botox: here the skin itself is treated, not the muscles beneath it. The pores shrink, oil production is calmed and the hyaluronic acid tops up moisture from within. The treatment takes 50 to 60 minutes and does not hurt; it can prickle or sting lightly, and afterwards the skin can be slightly pink but no wounds or needle marks are visible.

Preparation
Before your treatment
A few simple preparations make the treatment both more comfortable and more effective.
- Avoid over-the-counter blood-thinning products such as ibuprofen, aspirin and diclofenac, and omega 3, in the days before the treatment; it reduces the risk of redness and small bleeds. Never pause medication prescribed by a doctor without consulting them first
- Come without makeup if you can, otherwise we start with makeup removal
- Tell us when booking if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have an ongoing skin infection or have recently had other injectable or needle treatments
- After the treatment: the skin can be slightly pink for a few hours, but no wounds or needle marks are visible and you can return to everyday life immediately
- Use an ordinary moisturiser in the days after, not acid-based products such as AHA/BHA or retinol
- Avoid exercise, sauna and heavy sweating for the first 24 hours after the treatment

Does Microtox help with acne and rosacea?
Yes, those are two of the treatment’s most appreciated effects. When the pores shrink and oil production is calmed, the conditions for new breakouts are reduced, and many people with rosacea experience calmer skin and less redness.
